Well apparently I'm centrist moderate social libertarian. Right: 0.09, Libertarian: 2.32
Almost smack in the middle and now quite as far down as you.
But the part that amazes me is this: Foreign Policy:
On the left side are pacifists and anti-war activists. On the right side are those who want a strong military that intervenes around the world. You scored: -1.53
I WANT a strong military... I just don't think it's our business to be everybody's police force. You two in your country want to kill each other? Be my guest.
That's a toughie...and I think a lot of it is the way they worded the questions. I am very much Anti-War. Or rather, Anti-wasting billions upon billions of dollars and shipping boys and girls home in body bags.
As a Human Being I feel obligated to step in and stand up to a bully and help a fellow Human Being in need. However, only for those reasons--not to shove my beliefs (political or religious) on them or just because I didn't "like" or "understand" the way they were treating each other. Take, for instance, Rwanda. Very clear case of humanitarian man made disaster--one people group highly motivated and intent on wiping out another people group! Yet the rest of the world stood by. Why? Because the US has no economic interest in sub-Sahara Africa. If we're going to stand back and let the wars go on, then so be it. But be consistent. What makes one people more worthy of our military might than another?
Why is our National Guard deployed in Iraq? Who remains on US soil to keep us from killing ourselves when the lights go out? And why do I always have far more questions than answers?!
