Numerous walks around the not-quite-a-mile kid's run course for this morning's Childrens Hospital 10k/5k event, lunging traffic cones and signs and corralling a small army of volunteers has made me painfully and acutely aware of One Thing...
My "I-have-two-small-yet-highly-active-children-and-a-two-story-house" exercise/work out routine is grossly...Inadequate.

Chasing around two active kids has been my saving grace for excercise, but now it sounds like when the "real" deal comes, I'll be completely tuckered as well. Sigh.
I think I'll just stick to my justifications of exercise for a little longer. Good luck with recovery (and ibuprofen is awesome).
I'll make you feel even worse. Dear Hubby and I walked to the top of Mt. Tabor park here in Portland not once but TWICE this weekend. A 5-mile round-trip, half of which is uphill. And I'm out walking the grandboys in a double stroller 4-5 miles per day. And I'm almost 56, hahahaha! Come on, Dori...you can do it!
Kris, it wasn't the walking! That I can do--it was the lunging around stacks of traffic cones marking out the course. And then clearing the course when we were done! My arms felt like spaghetti! No sleep the night before certainly didn't help either.
