"Girl wears a hat like that...

...you know she's not scared of anything!"

Yes, we were out Christmas tree hunting. Yes, we came home with one and yes it is all lit up and decorated.

No, I haven't taken pictures of it yet and yes, the cat is delighted to have his winter hangout spot back (under the tree). Until tomorrow when he figures out that the tree is in the front room this year and all toddler containment gates are gone. And, no, I do not feel bad about that.

And yes, I got a little sentimental and teary eyed pulling out all of the ornaments--particularly the one I won in a raffle at the squadron's Christmas party 14 years ago...that just happened to be mine and Sean's first date. Sorta. And, yes, though we brought home a good and sturdy Scotch Pine that fragile Lladro bell will remain in the box again this year.

Some things just aren't the risk.

Can't wait to see the tree decorating pictures! My daughter actually has a knit hat a little like that (Carter's?) and I can't wait to take them tree "shopping." We like to hit the YMCA trees in the mall parking lot because most of the proceeds go to the program.

Happy Holidays (they make me sentimental too)!

Natalie, I think it is Carters...came with a little pair of mittens.

There's a tree stand we've gone to since we moved into this house--a couple of older men who truck in trees from their own farm every morning. Delightful to chat with and do business with.

Hey, how do you install that signature at the end of your posts? I really want one but can't figure it out!

SAge...if you click on my signature it'll take you to the signature maker--just go through their steps and embed the code on your own blog (copy the code for your signature and go to the formatting page on your blog--down towards the end of the page is a "post template"...paste the code there and you're done.) Whenever I write a post I have to go to the "edit Html" tab and move the signature down to give myself some room. Have fun!!

And no one caught the "Firefly" quote? Just a little disappointed...

No, no, I did. And let me say, that is a mighty cunning hat.

I've been known to make reproduction cunning hats for interested parties. Just, you know, FYI. :)
